1. Controller
The controller is OVEL Swiss Industrial Sourcing, Rue de la Gravière, 2854 Bassecourt, Switzerland. Questions and requests may be sent to info@ovelswiss.ch or +41 76 488 41 00.
2. Framework and scope
Processing is primarily governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). The European Union General Data Protection Regulation may apply where its territorial conditions are met. This notice covers the website, enquiries and OVEL’s B2B relationships.
3. Data processed
OVEL may process professional contact details, identity, role, company, communications, industrial requirements, drawings and project documents, relationship history and data needed for invoicing or legal duties. Hosting infrastructure may log technical data such as IP address, date, requested page, browser, device, approximate origin and security events.
4. Purposes and grounds
Data is used to operate and secure the website, answer enquiries, prepare or perform engagements, search for partners, coordinate exchanges, issue proposals and invoices, maintain records, defend claims and comply with law. Where the GDPR applies, grounds may include pre-contractual steps or contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests in secure and efficient services, or consent where required.
5. Form and email
The current form operates in the browser and prepares a message in the user’s email application. The website itself does not upload fields to an OVEL database. Once opened or sent, relevant email and IT providers process the information. Highly sensitive data should not be sent by unencrypted email; a non-disclosure agreement and suitable transfer channel can be agreed first.
6. Recipients
OVEL limits access to people who need the information. Data may be disclosed to hosting, IT, email, accounting or professional advisers and to preselected manufacturers where necessary to assess or perform a request. OVEL seeks to limit industrial project information to what is necessary and takes applicable confidentiality commitments into account.
7. International transfers
Some providers or partners may process data outside Switzerland. OVEL transfers data where the country provides recognised adequate protection, appropriate safeguards such as recognised contractual clauses are in place, or a statutory exception applies. Safeguards depend on the relevant provider and project.
8. Cookies and analytics
The current website does not include advertising analytics, profiling, marketing pixels or a newsletter. Hosting may use strictly necessary technical elements to deliver and protect the service. If OVEL later adds analytics, an external map, embedded video or a server-side form, this notice and any required consent mechanism will be updated before activation.
9. Retention and security
OVEL keeps data for as long as required by the purpose, contract, defence of claims or statutory periods, and then deletes or anonymises it where possible. Risk-appropriate technical and organisational measures reduce loss, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No system provides absolute security.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information and a copy, correct inaccurate data, seek deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, receive qualifying data in portable form and withdraw consent for the future. OVEL may verify identity. You may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and, where the GDPR applies, the relevant European authority.
11. Updates
OVEL updates this notice when processing, providers or legal requirements change. The version published here is current. Material changes may be communicated on the website or within the business relationship.
