Pipetting and dosing
Shafts, pistons, guides and dispensing elements are assessed against stroke, guidance and contact surfaces. Dosing repeatability also depends on the assembly and the equipment’s defined operating conditions.
MEDTECH · LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY
Swiss sourcing for dosing, fluidic, instrumentation and laboratory equipment parts, from prototypes to recurring production.
Discuss your project →A leak, dead volume or positioning error in a laboratory instrument can affect the function of the assembly. Component sourcing must connect dimensions to the medium, cycle and interface involved. OVEL identifies Swiss manufacturers suited to these requirements and organises a documented enquiry.

Valve bodies, fittings, manifolds and small chambers require control of bores, sealing surfaces and internal edges. The dossier specifies fluids, pressure, cleaning agents and expected verification methods.
Sensor mounts, sample holders and positioning components are assessed against assembly datums, thermal stability and measurement access. Compact dimensions must still allow assembly and final inspection.
An external structural part has different requirements from a surface contacting a sample or reagent. Stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and engineering polymers are considered against chemical compatibility, temperature, cleaning and mechanical loads. The dossier must specify grades and treatments.
Identify surfaces that may be coated and areas that require protection. A cleanliness requirement needs acceptance criteria and a verification method. Descriptions such as “clean” or “laboratory compatible” do not by themselves define a measurable result.
Swiss-type turning and CNC milling can be combined with fine drilling, secondary machining and deburring of intersecting holes. Inspection of fluid paths must address internal access and measurement limitations. The enquiry covers the complete process, including cleaning.
Leak, flow, travel and positioning tests require defined conditions: medium, pressure, temperature, fixture and acceptance criteria. Dimensional inspection does not automatically replace those checks. OVEL clarifies what is tested on the component and what is validated in the assembled equipment.
Not all laboratory equipment is a medical device or an in vitro diagnostic device. The customer identifies the intended use and applicable product requirements. Certificates, reports and change procedures requested from the manufacturer then follow the dossier rather than an identical documentation level for every component.
Provide a 2D drawing, 3D model, contact medium, relevant operating temperature and pressure, material, surface condition, cleanliness, quantities and functional tests. OVEL coordinates supplier research and feasibility exchanges. Selected providers confirm their manufacturing commitments and the deliverables within their scope.
Discuss your project →Yes. Equipment purpose and its specific requirements guide manufacturer selection and the documents requested.
Define the test assembly, medium, pressure, duration and acceptance limit. The manufacturer can then assess the requested verification.
Contact can affect material choice, surfaces and associated seals. Compatibility must be assessed under the equipment’s intended operating conditions.
